An alternative FREE vanilla pattern, toe-up and with a short row heel, perfect for striped or self patterning yarns where you don’t want to interrupt the flow of the colours. The heels are worked without wraps and turns to provide a neat finish.
The pattern gives you directions for a number of standard sizes and then has a section that helps you work out the details to fit your foot and your gauge.
Sizes (measured around mid-foot)
- Small – 6.5”/16.5cm unstretched, 8”/20.25cm stretched
- Medium – 8”/20.25cm unstretched, 10”/25.5cm stretched
- Large – 9”/22.75cm unstretched, 11”/28cm stretched
Yarn Requirements
100g of any 4ply (fingering) sock yarn should be suitable. The sample was knit in maARTens ART Kunterbunt Sockenwolle 4 fach Wool/Nylon in Oase2013 colourway, with the toes, heels and cuffs in Artesano Definition in Mushy Peas.
Additionally, the pattern provides information to allow you to use a different weight of yarn if you wish.
